Always enthusiastic about sharing historical stories, she earned her MFA in writing for young people from Lesley University and now writes non-fiction history for ages ten and up. She has published four books with Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers. The first, Fly Girls: The Daring American Women Pilots Who Helped Win WWII, is the story of the Women Airforce Service Pilots and their struggle to serve their country in its hour of need. Derek would prefer to preserve his ancient trade and be left alone, but he doesn't anticipate how effective Cora is and she even draws him in - in more ways than one. When an unlikely turn of events threatens their fragile alliance, will they find a way to save their careers - and find love - over the anvil?
