A vicarage becomes a hub of delightful confusion as two vicars plus an elderly Bishop lead to mistaken identities. The disorder is heightened by a spiteful spinster, an ex-actress (now the vicar’s wife), a young American soldier (her former leading man), and a Russian spy. Together, the characters create a tapestry of comedic moments, misunderstandings, and intrigue, making the vicarage the perfect setting for a classic British farce.
