Hilda and Sam Fluck are celebrating their Empty Nest. The Flucks are free! It’s 1956 and they are getting their first TV! But, you know, the best laid plans. Suddenly their thirtysomething kids, Gary and Janey, are back. Gary’s on the lam and Janey lets the cat out of the bag. As Hilda’s backyard fills with unexpected guests and the family careens into an afternoon of bumbling calamity, the stakes and the laughs grow in this heartwarming family comedy.

Hilda Fluck: the Mom; a housewife; a wise-cracking Mama Bear
Sam Fluck: the Dad, works at the paper plant; a Gunsmoke Fan
Gary Fluck: the Son and first born; he’s got big ideas
Janey Fluck: the Daughter and the Baby; she’s got big dreams
Bobbi Jakes: the “Bimbo”; Gary’s Girlfriend, in an all-girl band
Beverly Woytowich: the “Bookie”; he’s a charming thug, a Fixer
